Human blood flow is constantly changed by receiving various waves from the surroundings. In this work, I recognize the blood flow as sound and transform the inside of our blood vessels by manipulating the sound surroundings intentionally.
This installation is a visualization of the internal state of our blood vessels. The space mainly consists of two parts; the liquid tank for visualising the sound of the visitor's bloodstream as vibrations in real time, and the 4-channel electroacoustic composition using the sound of the composer's bloodstream as a sound source.
When a visitor wears the sensor on the earlobe, the liquid in the tank vibrates, depending on their bloodstream sound via the sensing system. The sound can be perceived through the liquid. At the same time, the electroacoustic composition which was created from the recorded sound of the composer's bloodstream, is repeated in the space. The visitor also perceives various sounds from different directions by the composition and it prompts the visitor's physical movement by the motion of its sound image. The physical movement affects the pulse and the sound of the visitor's bloodstreams and the result feedbacks to the vibration of liquid in the tank.
