This work is an installation which made of the feedback between microphones and speakers caused by “howling” phenomena. This feedback is occurred from 8 pipes whose length differs. These howling sound heard from the pipes is different depending on the acoustic characteristic of each pipes. These pipes are some kind of devices for playing music, and they play the howling composition that are available under program control. In this work, I created a device playing a specific composition which can physically amplify, develop, and construct the sound appeared by cutting off our spaces. It is based on the concept of “the consciousness to the materials existing under our unconsciousness”. I attempted to expand our consciousness of human perception through this work.
